Communication Skills: Business people aren’t that great at communication, they rely on email rather than personal interaction whether that’s with customers, colleagues, suppliers, third-party helpers even investors so being a great personal communicator will stand you out.
People Skills: People buy from people so those with good people skills increase their chances of success
Negotiation Skills: In tough times you may well find your customers wanting to negotiate more then they might previously have done, so sharpen up your negotiation skills
Presenting / Pitching Skills: If you have an opportunity to deliver a presentation or pitch don’t waste it by not working on your presentation and pitching skills
Self Development Skills: You have to take responsibility for your own learning and this can be a skill in itself
Time Management Skills: I include this because I find very often when it comes to learning it’s very easy for people say ‘I haven’t got time to do that’
