The story of running the Classic Quarter Ultra Marathon

How you helped me run 44 miles and raise £6600

Thank you for your support

Having completed the 44 mile Classic Quarter 2021 run I need to say a massive thank you to an amazing group of supporters who helped raise £150/mile or £6600 (£7200 inc gift aid) for the Children’s Hospice South West Music Therapy Programme.

I was humbled by the generosity of supporters who made individual donations and businesses and business owners who supported through booking places on the fundraising business masterclasses or had their own version in-house.

The adventure is now recorded (see below) in my book: ’12 Business Lessons from Running an UltraMarathon’ – I shall be donating proceeds from the book to CHSW.

Photo below with my children at the finish, Beth who was the crew manager and Jim who came back from Uni in Brighton.

Job Done!

My total time was around 13 hours – Strava generously omitted the crew meeting times and must have thought some of the hills were so slow I had stopped moving!

12 Business Lessons from Running an Ultra Marathon with Trevor Lee

12 Business Lessons from Running an Ultra Marathon

The ultimate guide to setting, planning and delivering business and running goals way beyond your comfort zone.

12 Business lessons from running an ultra marathon is a business book and a running book.

In May 2021 to celebrate his 60th birthday specialist business sales and presentation coach Trevor Lee tackled the Classic Quarter – a 44 mile ultra marathon on the Cornish Coastal path from Lizard Point to Lands End.

12 Business lessons from running an ultra marathon shares Trevor’s determined and persistent journey from making a gutsy announcement at a business event to crossing the finish line 815 days, 350 training runs, 2300 training miles and £7000 of fundraising later.

Trevor passionately shares the ultra running lessons he learnt and turns them into accomplished business advice and ideas, interspersed with highlights from his 2300 miles of persistent and disciplined training.

The 12 business lessons are easy to implement and will be invaluable, inspiring and helpful to small businesses and startups as well as established businesses looking to re-energise. The 12 lessons are also in ‘running’ format so ideal for anyone planning their own ultra running experience.
