Speaking and Presenting Tips with Kim Sorrelle
This the basis of the conversation I have with Kim Sorrelle on the latest episode of the Better Presentations More Sales Podcast as Kim shares speaking and presenting tips
Kim is an author, speaker and world changer so it was great to have her share speaking and presenting tips
We talk about:
- Kim’s 14 month adventure that led to the publishing of her bestselling book ‘Love Is’ and the speaking opportunities that the book has helped create
- During the podcast Kim shares lots of tips and ideas for both new and experienced speakers including:
- Ensuring that when you speak or present your content is designed for your audience – and one of the ways of doing this is to contact some of your audience in advance and get some feedback from what they are hoping your session will deliver
- So the big message is that it is about your audience, about you giving to them
- That every no you receive on your journey takes you one step closer to a yes
- If you are to grow your speaking ambitions then be targeted in terms of what you are going to offer to organisers
- Be wary of making assumptions about what your audience want from you and what you think they subsequently then need
