- Get your timing right – if you got 20 minutes make sure you can deliver the whole presentation in 20 minutes
- See if you can be the first person to present
- Be clear about what your audience is expecting – your content needs to be for them not you
- Don’t ramble around at the start, speak slowly but go straight in with a big stat, statement, quote or image
- Keep words off your slides and use props for variety
- Practice – this will ensure you get the content, structure, flow and timing right
